Hi everyone. New here and have registered as I have a strange question for you ! It's really bugging me and I can't work it out for myself. Why do trains have an orange line along the sides and front of the carriages ? It's located above the windows. Anyone know ?

Why do trains have an orange line along the sides and front of the carriages ? It's located above the windows. I think it marks the safe height for working on the train when it is under live overhead electric power lines. Chapelwood
