Touch wood the Sheerness Line's been running well, strange thing happened on Sunday - 466016 on it's own was running the hourly services - then yesterday and today the MetCam 465 plus 2x466 combo were back on the line.
Any reason why a single 466 was permitted on the line when Network Rail had banned them?
Thanks Ryan

Any reason why a single 466 was permitted on the line when Network Rail had banned them? Thanks Ryan I believe the "ban" was only a short lived thing a few weeks back. Not sure why Sunday was a single 466, but originally the monitoring equipment in the substation was meant to be fitted in over the weekend, but this slipped and was not in plcae until Wednesday night. From today the booked service was sent out, partly in the hope it would sit down, so at least one line of enquiry could be ruled out. This morning as it was raining, both single units encountered problems in the Queenborough area. As a result the 466s were put back together, and a Metcam 465 came down from Gillingham for the rest of todays service. Hopefully once the substation montioring equipment and 466s are downloaded and assessed it may give some clues to the cause. Wet weather causing some sort of earth leakage is still a strong contender. The Gene Genie

That's strange, the 466 I was on this morning seemed ok when leaving Queenborough, think we managed P4! Hopefully we'll find out what the problem(s) is/are not before long.
