I thought my eyes were deceiving me when I saw the new timetable. A cut in early homebound rush hour trains from Cannon Street to Medway (1636, then 1730). Everything has got even slower. If you compare the speeds with those of 20 years ago you'd be surprised. Of course the showcase High Speed Train has quickened a little - but I don't think the potential small time saving is worth the extra £1548 it would cost me. Not good.

Technically right re 'missing' CST to Medway train (currently 1708). However the reality is that this train has had to move to depart from Blackfriars (at 1655). Worth noting an extra train (re) added departing Blackfriars 1927 to Medway and Dover.
I think generally a good effort on this timetable given the immense problems in London Bridge for the next few years.

So that's where it went! That could be very handy!

It's all gone a bit peat tong on the HS1 service through Gravesend. Trains in the morning are rammed to the rafters and the train manager cant even get through. She was moaning to passengers and apologising this morning, insisted we all fill in feedback. Looks like they pushed loads of people onto a already busy service and it is now significantly over capacity. Irony is a train with plenty of seats rolled through minutes before as a through sevice! Longer train is the answer.

From an email from southeastern received just now. I know they are working hard at London Bridge but I think it is a little soon to claim that the platforms are gone. Seemed still to be there this morning...
