lordbarne,
I do believe you are correct! ;D
How long will it last for?

NoOnions - afer some weeks, all well with the announcements to date!
On a more unfortunate matter; this has not been a good week for travellers on SouthEastern. The points/signal failure between Cannon Street and London Bridge on Monday/Tuesday followed by whatever occurred this morning (more problems than at which one could shake a proverbial stick), have surely spoilt many 'customers' travel plans, especially in the evening.

Maidstone had no services for an hour today due to signal failures at Canterbury and a driver taken ill at Strood

Well chaps and chapesses, HOGW is casting himself off to pastures new for a sunshine break in Portugal. I bid SET farewell with grateful thanks for yet another electrical/signal failure at Wadhurst - one of many since the start of 2010. I wish you travellers a safe and pleasant and failure free journey. Fear not I shall return; refreshed and ready to strike a blow for freedom for all the beleagured CS,CX LB and VIC regulars. May our forthcoming economic winter be free from freezing fog, snow, ice, and any other accoutrement that the English weather can muster. HOGW

May I wish HOGW an enjoyable break in Portugal; for myself (and SWMBO), a visit to the other half of the Iberian peninsular is on the cards. Just to prove that I cannot keep away from railways, we are travelling from Barcelona to Alicante by train for which the first class fare is EUR66 (EUR50 for standard class). Experience tells me that the train will be on time and comfortable and given the length of the journey is excellent value.
